For 22 months, Tetyana interviewed many Ukrainian refugees, analyzed the interviews, conducted research, learned more about her Ukrainian culture, wrote, arranged and recorded an album of music that expresses the stories that she heard. This is the result. Tetyana hopes that people can find meaning in this music.

Until The Sun Comes is a true labour of love, drawing on personal interviews with individuals directly affected by the russian invasion of Ukraine. The album is a musical documentation of Ukrainian war stories, made in collaboration with Winnipeg-based Ice River Films and their production of the documentary Voices of Freedom (bottom of linked page). Tetyana’s interviews with Ukrainian war survivors that directly inspired the music of Until The Sun Comes were, in turn, the inspiration for Sam Karney and Andrew Wiens of Ice River Films to produce a film documenting this process.
